π Go-to tips for any session, in person or telehealth
Restart your device.
Make sure your operating system and browser are up to date.
Use the Google Chrome internet browser -- it's the most compatible internet browser for supporting audio capture, especially in telehealth sessions!
π Other tips for any session, in person or telehealth
Make sure the correct audio input is selected and you can see the volume indicator moving. When you first start recording you're immediately prompted to select your audio input. Make sure you select the correct mic and give it a test by saying something before proceeding to record.
Make sure you do not have any extensions or security software installed that could interfere with audio capture. If you're not sure, use Google Chrome's Incognito Mode which disables all extensions.
Make sure your network connection is stable. You can check your internet speed at speedtest.net. We recommend at least 10 mbps to ensure audio isn't dropping, which can lead to an incomplete or incorrect note.
π©βπ» For telehealth sessions specifically
Make sure you're using a computer, not a phone or tablet. Blueprint isn't able to capture client audio remotely on a mobile device.
Make sure you run telehealth from within an internet browser. Blueprint can only capture your client's audio from browser-based telehealth platforms. It won't capture client audio if you're using a video conference app such as Zoom. (Run Zoom in a browser instead and it should work!)
When beginning the recording, make sure you select "Telehealth" and identify if you're using headphones or not. Blueprint uses different methods to capture client audio depending on if you're seeing the client in person and if you're using headphones or not.
If you are using headphones, make sure to share the correct browser tab's audio when prompted. After selecting "Using headphones" you should be automatically prompted to share your browser audio. If you do not share the tab's audio then Blueprint will not be able to capture your client's voice since it's only going into your earbuds.
