Overview: Blueprint's Native Telehealth Platform

Updated over 2 months ago

Blueprint’s built-in telehealth platform makes it easy to conduct secure, HIPAA-compliant video sessions — right within your internet browser, no third-party setup required.

Benefits of using Blueprint's built-in telehealth platform

  • Secure, HIPAA-compliant video sessions

Clients join via a secure link and the telehealth session opens in their internet browser — no app downloads required. Our platform meets strict security and privacy standards.

  • Your own personal telehealth link

As a clinician, you have a single telehealth link that you can share with all your clients, and a waiting room to admit the right clients to your session.

  • Fast, accurate progress notes

Notes are generated even faster and more accurately than recording the audio of a third-party hosted telehealth session.

  • Multiple participants, screen-sharing, noise cancellation, and more!

How to Get Started

Blueprint Telehealth is included in every Plan and is ready for you to use with your clients as soon as you sign up for Blueprint.

Tips for a Smooth Experience

  • We recommend that both you and your client use the Google Chrome internet browser.

  • Encourage clients to find a quiet, private space for their session.

  • Use a stable, strong internet connection when possible. If multiple people are utilizing your wifi during a session, it can slow things down.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Blueprint Telehealth cost?

Blueprint Telehealth is included in our Starter, Standard, and Plus plans at no additional cost.

Can I change what my Blueprint Telehealth link looks like?

No, we don’t yet offer the ability to customize your link, though we may in the future.

Do I need to send every client a different link for Blueprint Telehealth?

No, you don’t need a unique link for each client.

You have a single, stable link as a clinician that you can share with all clients. You can find that link anytime from either:

    • Within the blue box in the upper-right under the Start Video Session button

    • Accessible anytime by clicking your name in the upper-right corner of Blueprint, then General, then Telehealth).

When your client follows your link and enters their name, they’ll be placed in a waiting room for you to admit them.

Can I pause the recording in a Blueprint Telehealth session?

Yes. You can click Stop Transcript (in the upper-left corner of your video) and Resume Transcript at any time during your telehealth session.

How many participants can I have in a Blueprint Telehealth session?

Technically, a Blueprint Telehealth session can support up to 200 participants, more than enough to host larger group sessions. Please note, however, that we do not support creating separate “breakout rooms” from within a session.

Is Blueprint Telehealth HIPAA compliant?

Yes, Blueprint Telehealth is HIPAA compliant! Learn more about Data Security at Blueprint here!

Do I need to download anything to run a Blueprint Telehealth session?

No, neither you nor your client need to download anything because Blueprint Telehealth works entirely in your internet browser!

Does my client need to download anything or create a Blueprint account to join a Blueprint Session?

Nope! Clients can join directly from your Blueprint Telehealth link (💡 which you can add to their appointments and reminders in your EHR) — no account or login required.
