Org admin access required
Transcript retention settings are only accessible for those with the Org admin role.
Transcript deletion is permanent
Once a transcript is deleted, it cannot be recovered undone.This setting is organization-wide
It's applied to all users within your Blueprint organization.
This setting applies retroactively
Turning it on immediately deletes every existing transcript for every clinician at your org that's older than your selected period -- not just transcripts that age past the threshold going forward.
Some features depend on transcripts
Magic Edit, Treatment Plan regeneration, and other features that rely on a transcript will be unavailable for any session whose transcript has been deleted.
How to configure transcript retention settings
On your Settings > Progress Notes page and scroll to the Transcript retention period section
Choose a Retention Period:
Keep indefinitely (default)
Transcripts are retained until manually deleted.Keep for 1 year, 6 months, 3 months, 1 month, 1 week, or 1 day
Transcripts older than the selected window are deleted on a daily schedule.Delete immediately
Transcripts are deleted as soon as the AI note is generated.
Confirm your selection. If this is your first time enabling a retention period, you'll see a confirmation prompt before the setting takes effect.
