Setting up credit card processing in Blueprint

Connect your bank account with Blueprint via Stripe to begin processing credit cards within Blueprint.

To process credit card payments from clients, you’ll first need to connect a bank account to Blueprint. This is done by setting up a secure Stripe Connect account, which we will walk through in the steps below.

When you process credit card payments within Blueprint, Stripe will deposit your payouts directly into your bank account.


Part 1: To begin, head to your Bank & Payments page

  1. Click your profile icon in the upper-right corner of Blueprint

  2. Select Bank & Payments

  3. Click Continue onboarding


Part 2: Enter your contact information

  1. Enter your email address and phone number

  2. Enter the verification code sent to your phone


Part 3: Set up your business details

  1. Select your Business type

  2. Enter your Personal details

  3. If prompted, enter your Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN)

Tip: If you haven’t filed paperwork to register as a business entity, choose Individual


Part 4: Add your bank account

  1. Enter your business details (such as industry and website, if applicable)

  2. Enter your bank account information.

  3. Review the terms and select Agree and continue

  4. Choose the bank account you’d like to use for payouts (the money you collect from clients and insurers within Blueprint), then click Connect account


Part 5: Finish setup

  1. Optional: Save your account with Link, or continue without saving. Link is a secure Stripe feature that allows you to save your information so future Stripe-powered setups are faster and easier.

  2. Once you see the success confirmation, click Done

Once complete: On the Bank & Payments page, you’ll see a message that says “Blueprint and Stripe are connected.”

Also, the Continue onboarding button will change to Manage account in Stripe, where you can update or disconnect your bank account at any time.


FAQ

How do I review my payment and payout transactions?

The payments you collect from your clients are processed by Stripe. To review past payments and payouts, or to edit your bank account details, head to your Bank & Payments page and click Manage account in Stripe.

How will my payouts appear on my bank statement?

Payouts will appear from Blueprint on your bank statement.

How long does it take to receive a payout after a client has made a payment?

  • It typically takes 3–5 days end-to-end from a client initiating a payment to the funds being available in the clinician’s connected bank account.

  • Payment capture: When a customer makes a payment, it's initially captured but not immediately available in your balance.

  • Pending period: The funds remain in a "pending" state for approximately 2 business days. This allows time for potential fraud checks and chargebacks.

  • Available balance: After the pending period, funds move to your available balance. The available balance is automatically payed out daily, typically in the late evening in the U.S. The exact time is determined by Stripe and can vary a bit day-to-day.

  • Bank processing: Once the payout is sent to your bank account, it typically takes 1-2 business days to settle.
